About the Centre
Founded in 2015 to Transform Spiritual Care in Kenya
The National Chaplaincy Training Centre was established with a single goal: to equip hospital, school, and prison chaplains with the professional skills, values, and theological grounding needed to serve with excellence.
A joint project of the School of Arts & Social Sciences and the College of Health Sciences, NCTC delivers a hybrid learning model that blends self-paced online content, weekly Zoom sessions, and supervised clinical practicum — accessible from anywhere in East Africa.

We are pleased to announce a new module on Crisis Intervention in Healthcare Settings has been added to the Hospital Chaplaincy Certificate programme. This module covers acute trauma response, suicide prevention protocols, and family notification support. Enrolled students will find it in Module 5 of their portal.
